After adding Time Machine - what now ?

I used a Time Machine with external HD.

The external HD failed and I needed to replace it.

After connecting the new HD , The Time Machine Aoutomatecly formatted It and start Backup .

Now I see "few" HD's and I don't know what is relevance and what to delete .

Other thing : The Time Machine aoutmatic formatted : Mac OS Extended (Case-sensitive, Journaled) ???

Can someone reply with an answer please ?

Thanks.

What is your question? The Mac didn't automatically format and start backups. When a new drive is connected your mac will ask if you want to use it for Time Machine, you must have clicked yes and then it formatted the drive and started the backup.
