iPhone 5 and Alpine KCE-422i with 30 pin lightning adapter

Hi,

now i use an old iPod nano 3th gen in my car with the KCE-422i cable to connect it to the car radio and I never had a problem...

now that I just bought an iPhone 5 (and the battery of the old iPod nano seems to be too old) I want to know if anyone that have an Alpine car radio and the KCE-422i cable has tried to connect the new iPhone with the Lightning to 30-pin Adapter (both only adapter both the adapter with 0,2 m cable) and if it works or not...

I'm Sorry to inform you that the kce-422i + lightning to 30 pin does'nt working with iphone 5... I just try it today with the adaptor that i bought in Apple store at 35 bucks !!!! I have the alpine CDA-9856 model.

I think the kce-422i connector is just good for garbage in my case !!!

i have the CDE-9880R model but the adapter to ipod is always that one... one question, if you use it to connect iphone5 i think that you can't change the music from car radio buttons but can you change music from the iphone?? or does not recognize it at all?

The kce-422i does not recognize iphone 5 at all, the radio give me ''ERROR 01'' !! I think i'll email or call customer service of Alpine ! Because i'll not buy another cable that will work for 6 months and when i will get an iphone 5s, it will not work anymore !!! Its really annoying !!
