Pair Two Bluetooth Devices at the Same Time?

Is it possible to pair an iPhone 5 with two diffrenent bluetooth devices at the same time? I understand it will only output to one device at the time, but will it pair with both and allow me to choose the sources in the call or music menu?

I have a car with a Bluetooth phone system, but no bluetooth audio streaming. There are adapters available now, such as the Blackberry Music Gateway, that are basically bluetooth receivers with an aux out cable that you plug into your car's aux port.

Can you pair the phone with both, so I can stream music, then if I receive a call hit the sources button and send it to the car's bluetooth?
