Have deleted and re entered email addresses in different order. Problem solve. Why does this fix the problem ?

I couldnt send ir receive emails for my primary email address. Tried everything and deleting email addresses then adding them back worked. Didn't use any of the methods suggested by other helpful sources. It worked so problem solved after hours of trying other things
