How can I print from my ipad using a wireless printer? Printer is listed but comes up no airprinter found
iOS devices can only print directly to AirPrint printers. All AirPrint printers are wireless but not all wireless printers are capable of using AirPrint.
To print directly from an iPad / iPhone you will need an AirPrint compatible printer or another device to act as a print server. That can be a Mac computer running Printopia ($19.95 with free trial) or handyPrint (donation - supported). The Mac must be "on" but may be asleep for them to work. Equivalent PC options may exist but you're on your own finding them.
You can also buy this standalone print server:

These options enable you to use any printer available to your network, even older ones that may predate AirPrint by decades.
Otherwise you will need to buy an AirPrint printer or multifunction device.
When you say listed, do yo mean it is on teh lsit of AirPrint enable printers published by apple?
It is possible you may need to update the firmware on the printer. But first try this:
Tried turning off printer, restart the router, turned printer back on and restart ipad did not work. Yes it is listed on the AirPrint enable printers published by apple. It is a hp desk jet 3510 all in one series printer
Have you checked to see if there is a firmware update available for your printer? You can do so on the panel on the printer and update it that way.
Are all the players on the same network?
What model router?
