I have several iPod Shuffles, all 4th generation, and only one is not recognized by iTunes. Therefore it is not the cable or USB port. I have "reset" the shuffle, but nothing happens. I found in the past I had to "play" with the connection between the shuffle and the cable to get it to be recognized, but this is not the case anymore. I suspect there is something wrong with the conenctors on the shuffle itself. It still plays and the headphones work fine in the jack, just not the USB connector. I wonder if there is any solution or if I am stuck with the same songs forever on this iPod. Any suggestions?
