Jan 4, 2013 1:07 PM in response to amine1by Niel,You need to reinstall that module or replace it. A Power Mac G5 won't recognize RAM which isn't part of a matching pair.

Jul 21, 2015 2:58 AM in response to Nielby jltrinh18,I might have the same problem. My computer shut down and the restarted by itself every 15 minutes or so, and I didn't hear the chiming sound when I restarted the computer annually. Where can I purchase that RAM module you guys are talking about? Thank you.

Jul 21, 2015 9:57 AM in response to jltrinh18by BDAqua,If a G5, which exact one is it?
Actually, yours sounds more like it's shutting down due to heat & you have Restart automatically set.
Have you blown the dust out lately?
