How do you return an in-app purchase?


My daughter bought something from an app that costs $100 without my permission.


She's 7 years old. She bought it from my iPad.


How do you undo/cancel the purchase?

Do I have to call the app company?

iPad 2, iOS 6.0.1, App , Campus Life

I am pleased to report that Apple staff responded pretty quickly by e-mail and refunded my amount (or at least stated that it will be refunded in the next 5-10 days). And yeah, I've got every restriction set on this thing now... pretty easy to figure out in the Settings menus. In-app purchases disabled, password required to buy an app, password required to download an app (even free ones).

I am so grateful to see this thread! My 7 year daughter old purchased almost $400 woth of 'gems' in an app today! 😢 I didn't even know until the email recipts started flooding into my inbox tonight! I nearly had a heart attack! I have just gone into restrictions and and turned off 'in app purchase' so this will never happen again. I didn't even know this could happen! Hopefully Apple will take pitty on me 😕
