zip -S does not work from cmd line

jtImac:/usr>>zip -r8 -S /Downloads/usr *

zip error: Invalid command arguments (short option 'S' not supported)

From the man page

-S

--system-hidden

[MSDOS, OS/2, WIN32 and ATARI] Include system and hidden files.

[MacOS] Includes finder invisible files, which are ignored oth-

erwise.

Is this a known bug?
