Bootcamp for 3TB fusion drive solution?

Hi,

I have a lot of expensive Windows Software (for example Adobe CS5) that need to be installed! I really love the new iMAC but it's f***ing b*llsh*t that there is no possibility to install the bootcamp. Don't tell me to switch CS5 to MAC because that's not possible since CS6 without spending a **** of money. And it's not the only software I need to run.

If I had known this issue, I had bought the 1 TB! Thx Apple. So, what are the possibilites? VM isn't a solution performance wise...

I guess, I'm not the only one who need HELP!

I'm pretty sure that solution won't work on a 3TB Fusion drive - only on a 3tb regular drive (Because you can only add 1 partition to the fusion drive, not the 2 required for this solution).

Would be great if somebody could say that isn't correct though?

Thx for this link, but it sadly doesn't work. I have a fusion drive with much more hidden partitions. It look like this:

Macintosh HD

disk0s1

Macintosh HD

Boot OS X

disk1s1

Macintosh HD

Recovery HD

Windows

I don't know why, the disk utility doesn't let me build 3 partitions. I'm only able to build 1TB and a second 2TB. I can't build 3times 1TB...

I hope Apple fix that issue fast!

In order to route this you need to throw out coreStorage to freely partition it. However, undoing this is a nightmare and I'm not sure my fusion drive is actually using its fusion capabilities anymore.

I've seen reviews of external thunderbolt drives, describing booting Windows off them. Could that be a possible solution for you? I know it would be better to just use the internal drive, but well...

I found the solution you manually has to re-format the Boot camp partition to NTFS with the windows septup cd. Here are the steps from:

Use bootcamp first only use windows part from the link.

With 10.8.3 Bootcamp and Win8 install work like a charm. No DVD needed. Win8 install image and drivers are packed on the same usb stick (or similar device) and the installation and driver upgrade process are a clean sweep through.
