how do I transfer a document from my pc to Ipad and then alter it on Ipad

I( have the following on PC ( microsoft windows 8 ) dropbox, skydrive and Icloud.and microsoft office,

On my Ipad I have "pages" dropbox" "docstogo" "icloud" and "skydrive"

I want to be able to see document in the cloud and be able to alter it on PC, Ipad or Iphone. by just using whichever device is handy to me-kmowing tyhat when I treturn to other device it will be the latest up todate copy there -ready for new amendments if necessary.

iPad 2, iOS 6.0.2, I have "pages" dropbox"Icloud"

If on your PCM you go to iCloud.com and login. Then you can drag and drop files into the iCloud, iWork window. This will upload it to your iCloud account. Then when you open pages,numbers, ect. On your ipad you should see the same document.

On all the other apps (google skydrive etc - I have to open 2 apps on Ipad or I phone and then transfet from one app to the other) . Wheras with pages or numbers it all stays in the same app but appears in Icloud automatically, but I have to get original document there first from PC or create on IPad etc. Mine is a microsoft pc - so I can't drag and drop but I have worked out that when logged in to Icloud in workbook if I press "the cog" on the top right of screen that allows me to upload the word or excel documents into "numbers" or "pages"

Presumably if I create a document on IPad it will automatically appear in "Icloud."

Thatr seems to me to be the best and easiestr way of synchronising documents on PC rather than use the non"apple" apps which seems to result in the same end product but withh all different versions of the same document, having upgrade name each time document is trnasferred between pages and non apple app.

Thank you - I have docs to go and now see how I can trnsfer yo Ipad from my pc,. The advantage of using that app is it seems to updaye by PC in orignal file lfolder, wheras pages and numbers are retained on Icloud and don't amend original document in original folder.

However, from you and from trial and error, I have learnt a lot about synchronising and uploading files to Ipad which are compayable with Office on my computer.

This seems to solve my problems re this matter
