iPad 2

Hey everyone,I really need some help. I am from the Caribbean and my boyfriend got me an ipad2 for my Christmas but each time I try to download a free app from AppStore ,there's this message popping up that's telling me I do not have an account with the U.S store. I really don't know what to do......can anyone help?
