Video card Help?

I just installed the ATI 5770 in my early 2009 mac pro, I was told it would run three displays. I want to run two DVI displays and a DVI connected cintiq 24HD all at once. I was told at time of purchase this would work? right now it doesn't work together but everything works on its own.

Follow up question I have the original video card that came with my computer, can I install both video cards at once to fix this problem?

I'm not super techincal so bare with me if I'm missing the obvious.

You can certainly install two video cards to run the displays. I don't have experience with the 5770 so don't know why it wouldn't drive three displays (also not sure what the difference is between your "two DVI displays" and "DVI connected cintiq" - connected to what?)

To use three DVI displays with the ATI 5770, both Mini DisplayPort to DVI adapters must be the ACTIVE type.

The Apple dual-link adapter is active, but not their cheaper single-link version.

Other companies make some active single-link adapters.
