Safari freezing up

For the past 2 days, every time I open Safari, it immediately locks up. I will occasionally be able to go to one page after the home page loads, but after that, it's the spinning beach ball of death. I have to Force Quit and then it does give me the option of reporting the problem. I'm running Mac OSX 10.7.5 and no Safari update is available.
