I removed Aperture 3 from my MBP. How do I remove the master?

I recently uninstalled Aperture 3 from my MBP (10.7.5 / 2.7GHz / 4GB), yet I still have the master library tied to iPhoto. So to say the least I have about 100GB of high res photos that are duplicated within iPhoto. I will need to get a bit stronger Mac before I reinstall the application as it ate my MBP resources up! I was tired of the pinwheel on the display more than the appliation itself.

So where and how would I kill the master library without doing harm to my current iPhoto library. I want the duplicates to go away and maintain the iPhoto database within some normal size. (Rebuild database?) I have search everywhere and could not find any simular question..... Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you...

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.5)
