Remote DVR Viewer Plugin

New to Mac,

Safari prompts me to install latest plugin and restart Safari. Downloaded plugin, opened and successfully installed plugin on Mac HD and restarted Safari. Safari still asks me download plugin. After reading some online banter, also tried dragging the plugin to Library/internet plugins...I see it in there, but Safari does not. Safari also does not show the plugin I installed in it's list of availailable plugins. Am I missing a step?
