Will this method maintain information about checked/unchecked songs?

I sync my songs to my iPhone by checking/unchecking songs in my iTunes library. If I use this method to move my library to a new hard drive will it maintain information about which songs I have checked/unchecked or am I going to have to go through my 10s of thousands of songs again?
