Does anyone know where I can get a new graphics card for my late 2006 24inch imac?
I have been struggling with it for about 6months until I have diagnosed the issue as the graphics card.

You can't replace the graphic card yourself because it's soldered into the logic board on the Late 2006 iMac. You can take it to an Apple Store, but the repair will be expensive, so I recommend you to buy a new computer

Many thanks for the graphics card retailers in the US, it sounds like they are becoming a problem to source. Are you aware of any available in the UK?
One of the late 2006 24" models offered an upgradeable card at the time of order; even if you didn't order it, the card was not soldered - it was a separate part and could be replaced. I don't know if the OP's is one of those models (I had one), but thought I'd add this for general information. There are a few models where the cards can be replaced (albeit not with a fancy better card....).
