There is a black rectangle that is only on my wallpaper background, they arent dead pixels because I can see my cursor over it and any window that is open isnt effected. Any background I use, however, has this weird black rectangle. the background is on a random rotation of images and it doesnt matter which one is being used it still has this dead area. Any ideas?
MacBook Air, Mac OS X (10.7.5)
Can you set desktop icons ontop of the box? or are they also covered by the box?
I can pick up an icon and hover it over the rectangle but once I place it back on the desktop it goes behind the rectangle.
Sounds like some kind of dead window to me.. What happens if you restart the computer?
Ive restarted it several times and it didnt help but just for good measure I tried it one more time just now and the problem totally went away, thanks man!
