MAC TV & Polaroid TV

Polaroid TV & Apple TV. Connected Apple TV to my POLAROID Flat panel and I get a screen message saying "Not Support!". Double checked all connection. Powered up and down. Still same message. No menu comes up on screen only the "not support"message.
