I cant pick up my phone calls or restart my phone. I am locked out and it is asking me for a voicemail password- but wont even let me enter one.

I am locked out of my phone. it is asking me for a VM password. cant enter anything and cant shut my phone off either...

iPhone 5, iOS 6.0.2
