In iMovie I am trying to set the Transition durations, and it works in most situations, but sometimes the system refuses to obey instruction. For example, I am currently trying to set a Transition at 6.8s and the system is holding it at 3.2s. Has anyone had a similar problem, and can you offer a solution?

A transition can generally be no longer than half the length of the shortest adjacent clip.
