OS x v10.6.6 unable to print Canon image class mf4350d

Hi I recently began having problems with printing on my Canon Image Class mf4350d. My macbook does not recognize the printer and when has recently, the printer will "pause". I am having difficulty downloading the correct driver I believe. Any help appreciated. At this point the printer is no longer listed on my Print/Fax under settings.
