My keyboard is "squeaking"?

Recently, my I noticed an occasional squeaking noise while typing. It is coming from the keyboard, but not every key and not consistently for the same key. It usually happens after the PowerBook has been on for a while, is not very loud and is generally drowned out by any other background noise.

Other than being a bit annoying, is it something to be concerned about?

Mac OS X (10.4.5)

I would not worry about it. The sound is probubly comming froma vary often used key or one of the keys that you push sideways insted of stright up and down. This has probubly caused the key to get misaligned or purely worn out. either way the only fix is to replace the keyboard. this is expencive enough (on a laptop) to put up with till it stops working. I have a keyboard that is doing the same thing that is 14 years old. even though keyboards are technicaly newer now they still work on the same priciples that they did back then.

So I say you have nothing to wory about untill you no longer can use the keys in question. If this is on a desktop keyboard, they are cheep and easly replaced and if it bothers you then replace it.
