It's a kernel panic > http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3742

Next time you see the kernel panic, copy the log here, so we can identify what the problem is. You can see it when you start your Mac after seeing a kernel panic, so you will see a "Your computer was restarted because of a problem". On this window, select "Report..." and copy all the content in the text box

It's not possible to uninstall Boot Camp dragging the Windows partition to the Trash. Are you sure it was Boot Camp and not VMware Fusion? Note that VMware Fusion has got a feature that allows you to use the Boot Camp partition on OS X without restarting

Jan 27, 2013 10:16 AM in response to knight58

I'm not completely sure if the problem is VMware Fusion or one of your peripherals, but one of the VMware extensions can be in conflict with other ones that Mac OS X needs, and cause the kernel panic. I recommend you to download VMware Fusion 3 again (if you can access to it) and use the uninstaller that it includes to remove everything

Why does my iMac (on occasion) not shut down, warning message comes on saying i have to switch off by pressing and holding the power button then restart,
