I have a Mid 2009 computer and it won't let me run the computer thru airplay. The Mirroring option in Display is not coming up. I used to be able to run it thru computer. Now it seems like I am dead in the water. If I use Itunes to play a show I have to pay for it and don't want to if I don't have to. Please Help?

From what I know AIRPLAY Mirroring is only avalible on Mac's 2011 or newer with Moutain Lion. I have a 2007 iMac running ML and I use "Airparrot" $10.00. On some things there is a slight flicker on my Vizio HDTV but not bad enough to cause me any trouble.
That sounds good I will try to purchase airparrot and see if that works. I did purchase an adaptor for the HDMI cable to my computer also. I have not tried that yet.
On the HDMI adaptor, I also have to use but I also had to run a audio cable due to the age of my iMac that would not carry the sound with the HDMI. I went to Airparrot so I could free up a HDMI port on my TV.
How do I run the computer thru Apple TV, not using airplay with wifi?
