I have a mid 2009 Macbook, can I put 4GB in each slot?

The maximum it can use is 6 GB (1x 2GB, 1x 4GB), so 2x 4GB would be redundant.

That said, it may work but without using more than 6.


I would contact Crucial or MacSales (OWC) tech support; they may well be able to advise you better than we can.
