iTunes 11 causing my laptop to crash every time I connect my iPhone 5

Hello,

I have had my iPhone 5 since September and have had no problems with it at all. I updated my iTunes to 11 this week and ever since then I have had nothing but problems!

I managed to get my iPhone connected for about 3 minutes and added a few songs but it crashed again and since then I cannot connect my phone at all without my whole computer freezing and having to restart!

I have tried:

-Deleting my phone back up on iTunes

-Turning the laptop on & off

-Turning my phone on & off

-Uninstalling & reinstalling itunes

But not of the above have made any difference!

Please help!!
