I want to select what I want to upload to my iphone 5. I have the most recent version of ITunes. Can't find anything in it. Don't see the beauty of the "upgrade." For today, I would like to know where the "Summary button" is so I can tell iTunes what to upload to my iPhone...as per instruct ITunes what to upload.

If you're running Windows see iOS device not showing in iTunes for Windows, otherwise it might pay to reinstall iTunes.

If you select your Iphone from the box you will go straight to the Summary page.
Or View > ShowSidebar and your device will be in the left hand windo. Select it and see your summary page

my devices are connected to the computer but i still don't see the icon at the top, only on the side
