DDR3L or not ? 8GB or 16GB max? MBP 2012, 13" - Conflicting Info

I am finding threads here and other reputable forums where folks say that the RAM Specs for the Mid-2012 MBP 13" are:

DDR3L 1600 1.37 volts.

When I do a match at Crucial and OWC, that is exactly what they say too. But... neither me nor the tech advisor at 800MyApple can find that spec anywhere in writing. We checked at Apple -- Support -- Specs. We checked Apple - Store - MBP Specs. We checked by doing a match at the Apple store to purchase 8GB upgrade.

All we could find anywhere is DDR3 1600, and no mention of the voltage. Also, OWC & Crucial say that this model can upgrade to 16GB, whereas Apple's specs say 8. It would be surprising and disappointing to me if both Crucial and OWC are putting the wrong RAM out there in numerous 13" MPB 2012s.

Can someone help point me to some piece of documentation or even just an official Apple sentence saying it is correct - DDR3L 1.37v? Apple wasn't able to help.

Here is one of the discussions about this:

Thanks. I want to go buy the new MBP today.
