alignment on page does not look the same when prnted

When I use the text/edit program, and I go to print the dcoument, the spacing looks different than what is on the page I was just working on. Is there something I need to do to the rulers? Please help. I am trying to submit my resumé and it looks horrible. I have been a PC user until just this last month.

Putting aside the wisdom of using a glorified text editor to do your resume....

The first things to find out: Are you using RTF? Are you using "Wrap to Page" ?
