Gentlemen,

Our podcast hasn't been properly updated it seems: http://itunes.apple.com/ch/podcast/code-2020-coding-in-cloud/id530145569?l=en

It shows only Episode 4 when the source RSS feed is already at episode 5: http://feeds.feedburner.com/Code-2020-CodingInTheCloudEraPodcast

Any idea why it is not working?

Thanks,

sacha

Episode 5 does not have an 'enclosure' tag containing the media file URL, which is necessary for iTunes. As far as iTunes can see the episode has no playable media, and so it does not display the episode.

You've got these in correctly in the earlier episodes (except that in at least one case you have the tag in twice - the second will be ignored). In episode 5 you've evidently missed a step somewhere.

I see you are hosting your media files on Amazon S3 - If you move to Libsyn.com - 1. it is cheaper especially if you get popular and 2. there is integration with your wordpress blog - no plug in needed. So you can then simply upload the media file to libsyn - add the title and description - and then it will post to your RSS feed with libsyn that you point feedburner at and also to your Wordpress blog.

If you want more info on this - please let me know.

OK, I eventually found the answer, you can see it here:

In summary, when working with Wordpress.com and using the [audio] tag, make sure to only use an HTTP URL linking to your audio file, do NOT use a HTTPS URL, this prevents wordpress.com from generating a proper enclosure tag that iTunes can then use to build its list of episodes.
