i have an airport extreme that is not strong enough to reach througout my house. i bought and airport express to solve this problem and was told i only needed to plug it in. HOwever, my computer is not picking it up. When i use an ethernet cable to plug directly into internet, the amber light still flashes.....what do i need to do?

This is a bit more required than just "plugging it in" to get your new Express to extend the wireless network provided by the Extreme. Please check out the following Apple Support article for additional details. Please post back if you have any questions or need further assistance.
