Has anyone linked an old Sony Walkman cassette player to a Mac mini

Hi everyone,

Happy new year to the community. I am trying to find a way to use my old Walkman cassette so that I can covert my cassettes to cd. I have a USB cassette player that works but it sounds a bit tinny, whereas the Walkman is far superior, any suggestion will be very welcomed.

Thanks in advance.

Use a Griffin iMic, or something like it.

Hi

I just tried using the IMic and my Walkman, unfortunately as the Walkman has one socket for earphones and the other socket is for a 3.5v mains plug. I am not sure if there is anything I can do. I do have a conventional cassette recorder/player but it needs to be connected to an amplifier. That is all very well, however, I am concerned about connecting the amplifier to the mac mini. Before I do, is there any special adapter leads that I need to use, I am a little naive on this matter.

Thank you
