Is there a water sensor for ipad mini to check if there has been water damage?

They do perform such checks at the Apple retail stores.
I mean that I can check myself.
No.
Any water sensor is inside the device, out of view.
Is there any signs if an ipad mini has been water damaged. I guess I'm concerned because I had best buy install zagg invisible shield and it had a liquid spray. She sprayed the spray on my device and she sprayed quite a bit. I'm worried that its gonna cause problems but so far it seems fine.
There would only be an issue if the iPad were submerged in liquid.
It was submerged (put in a bowl of liquid) but she used a lot of that zagg spray and she sprayed it directly on my ipad mini screen. I feel like it would have got in the cracks, under the screen and in the home button.
That is how we all have put on a Zagg shield. There are no cracks for liquid to get under the display, the device is sealed. She was hopefully care around the Home button. I think that you are being a bit paranoid if the function of the iPad is not out of the ordinary.
I don't think she was careful around the home button. But she did use a
Air spray. Paranoid probably but I didn't just spend 550 for someone to ruin it over a shield.
No it's not.
My device was never submerged in anything.
They used a spray bottle, putting a list misting on the device.
If you submerge the device, it will absolutely get liquid in it.
Yeah she sprayed so much that it looked like crystals on the screen before she put the zagg shield on.
I'm not sure what you are contradicting Jonathan, I have not suggested that an iPad is submerged to install a Zagg shield. Please read more carefully before confusing the issue. I am confirming that we all have installed the Zagg shield using a lot of sprayed liquid.
UPDATE -
I think that you are confused by the inaccurate comment from the OP. He said "It was submerged" but he intended to say, "It was not submerged." With my superior English skills I was able to determine his error and responded to what he intended to write! 😝
You should have spoke up at the time of the installation and voiced your concern. We are just other users here. There are no user accessible water sensors.
I can confirm that what you describe is how Zagg shields are installed, you may check the process in videos available at You Tube.
Unless you have a problem with your iPad, you will likely never know more than you do at this moment.
I did speak up at time of installation and she told me not to worry because it is a non conductive spray, whatever that means. But then I looked it up on google and zagg says not to spray directly on device. So that's why I'm concerned.
I went and viewed a You Tube video by a guy installing his new Zagg shield on his new iPad 3 and he sprayed the shield not the iPad. I don't recall that when I installed mine, but that was almost 2 years ago.
You might want to bring that to the attention of the management of the Best Buy where the woman installed the Zagg shield and get a written commitment that any future issues relating to water damage will be covered by Best Buy. If they give you a problem, I would get Zagg involved in the issue.
