iPhone 5 and iMac 27" automatic wireless sync?

Hello all,

Today I purchased one of the new late 2012 27" iMacs. This is my first Apple computer. I'm already in love with it, but I'm having a problem with my iPhone 5 syncing wirelessly to iTunes. I don't know if it makes a difference or not, but previously I was syncing my iPhone to iTunes on a Windows 7 Dell Laptop.

Any help I could receive on this issue would be greatly appreciated... Aside from owning an iPhone 4s and the new iPhone 5 I am an Apple newbie.
