Surprise! It's January 7 and it still doesn't work. Have set it twice in the last hour and I still will hear notifications. Maybe they just mean later today on Jan 7.

If you read the KB article carefully, Apple says the situation will resolve itself AFTER Jan. 7. Than means tomorrow, Jan. 8.

Will it be fixed by a software update that needs to be downloaded and installed, or will it just fix itself after this date?

Thanks

Well, short term, the current issue will fix itself after 7 Jan 2013. However, long term, it will happen again next year. On another site, a very clever programmer predicted exactly when it will occur again and for how many days (just a few in Jan 2014 IIRC). Anyway, a long term fix will require a software patch that Apple will have to provide (and likely will in a future iOS update).

So it is now 12:05 AM EST on January 9 and Do Not Disturb continues to be non functional.

Moon always stays on - irrespective of the schedule.

Allow calls from 'No One' is enabled - yet all calls ring tnrough.

Have toggled everything off and on - several times.

Have changed the schedule.

Have performed a hard restart.

No joy.

Clearly there is a deeper issue here than a self correcting Jan 1 bug.
