Welcome to the Apple Support Communities

It's a bug that will be fixed today, but I hope that Apple releases an update to fix this because it will happen next year

Surprise! It's January 7 and it still doesn't work. Have set it twice in the last hour and I still will hear notifications. Maybe they just mean later today on Jan 7.

If you read the KB article carefully, Apple says the situation will resolve itself AFTER Jan. 7.  Than means tomorrow, Jan. 8.

Yup, missed that. Bifocals were dirty. Maybe they should have said Jan 8 instead of after the 7th. Oh well. Hope it works tomorrow. Thanks for the info.

Will it be fixed by a software update that needs to be downloaded and installed, or will it just fix itself after this date?

    Thanks

Well, short term, the current issue will fix itself after 7 Jan 2013.  However, long term, it will happen again next year.  On another site, a very clever programmer predicted exactly when it will occur again and for how many days (just a few in Jan 2014 IIRC).  Anyway, a long term fix will require a software patch that Apple will have to provide (and likely will in a future iOS update).

    Thanks,

Just realised mine was working when I switched it back on and then switched the schedule on. Hadn't tried before as I assumed it would need to be a software patch, just as you mentioned above.

It's now January 8th and DND provided me with a loud notification about an hour PRIOR to the time frame set for it to turn off (set for 23:00 - 07:00).

    What's up????

Today is Jan 8 but mine is still not working. Any suggestion from apple customer services.

Ditto; mine's not working, despite attempts to reset.

So it is now 12:05 AM EST on January 9 and Do Not Disturb continues to be non functional.

Moon always stays on - irrespective of the schedule.

Allow calls from 'No One' is enabled - yet all calls ring tnrough.

Have toggled everything off and on - several times.

    Have changed the schedule.

    Have performed a hard restart.

    No joy.

Clearly there is a deeper issue here than a self correcting Jan 1 bug.

    Apple - What say you?

Same thing here, Jan 9th and this is NOT working for me.  DND either is always on or always off, no schedule is honored.

This is effecting an iPhone 4 and iPad 3 all running iOS 6.0.1
