I have got a brand new ipod classic 160GB and iTunes force closed during syncing new music today and afterwards the ipod was 'corrupt'
after attempting to restore several times, error message 1430 continued to appear
followed instructions outlined in http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1372?locale=en_US&login=email with no progress achieved
when the ipod is disconnected it loads to the menu screen but says that the memory is full of 'other'

iPod classic, Mac OS X (10.6.8)
