hi,
I got an ipod touch its very old probably 1st gen or 2nd. its stuck on recovery mode and iTunes identifies it but it keeps giving error of 1604 i restarted my mac and connected to it, but its still not working it keeps on going to the recovery mode.
After trying many hours of prssing home button and off button it still doesn do anything.
Please help.

yes i have done this many times, i have used many softwares to get it out of recovery mode but its not working.
i have used iREB, redsn0w, tiny umbrella, none of them work.
does this have a firmware problem? if it is how do i solve it?
All I can suggest is to make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.
