It should be supported. I believe Comcast email uses a simple POP protocol which IPads have supported since the beginning. How are you trying to set up the email account? What steps?

Comcast email should work just fine on any iOS device. If you'll detail the problems you're having, someone may be able to offer suggestions. Or you may want to try Comcast's own app, Xfinity Connect.

I have Comcast email set up on my iPad in the mail app and Comcast has their own mail app which I use as well. The Comcast app offers a lot more features such as being able to set up additional mail boxes on the server and have then sync to the iPad - even though Comcast is a POP email provider. I have no idea why this works, but it does.

The app is called Xfinity Connect and it is free in the App Store. You can also access your mail in the Xfinity mobile web mail site, but the app is so much better.
