Q: my ipad is saying it hasn't been backed up in 3weeks. Back ups happen whan this ipad is plugeed in, locked and connected to WIFI. I've plugged it in to sync in my main computer and I can't get the icloud back up icon to go out.I can't even turn pad off

You might try a forced shutdown to begin with, hold down the top and home buttons together until the device shuts down, then restart it.
