With reference to this Apple article about printer drivers available from Software Update, it seems that there is no driver for your PSA 2210. But there is PSC 2200 series listed. Would this be the same model?
If it is, when you connect the printer to the Mac via USB cable, if it is not being added automatically and it is not appearing in the Add printer view, then it could be the USB cable at fault. So try another cable for starters. I would even suggest you buy a new cable, as older cables have been known to fail on the newer Mac's.

Thanks PAHU... yes apparently for other who may have the question, the ''2200 series drivers" do work. I am embarassed to say that they work better when you plug the other end of the USB cord into the printer! My husband moved the printer into our home office and I assumed it was connected. ... But you know what they say about assuming.
After that it was recognized and works beautifully! Scans, copies, prints everything. Thanks for your help.
