Buying old Airport Express of eBay - Do i need sellers' password?

Hi,

If i just bought an old Apple Airport Express (The one that actually plugs into that wall) on eBay, do i need to ask for the sellers' password to the Aiport Express in order to connect it to my current wireless network and use airplay to steam music? What im ultimetly asking is: If i get the this airport express and i dont have the password, am i out of luck? Do i even need a password to connect to the aiport ecpress?, or do i just use the password to my current wireless network?

Thanks, Riley

You need to reset the AirPort Express device and then configure it to your liking by attaching it to a computer via Ethernet cable.

Perform a Factory Default Reset on the Express as follows to get the device back to new, out of the box settings.

Power off the Express

Wait a few minutes

Hold in the reset button first and continue to hold it in for an additional 9-10 seconds while you simultaneously plug the power back in to the Express

Release the reset button after the hold period and allow a full minute for the Express to restart to a slow, blinking amber light

The Express is now reset

If you are asked for a password, the default is "public" (without the quotes)
