My laptop is going to crash, how will my iPad be affected?

My lenovo laptop is going to crash one of these days and my iTunes is on this laptop where both my iPhone and iPad is connected. I'm not going to be using my iPhone as I'm a school girl and it becomes a distraction so it's not important but what do I do with my iPad. It's brand new and I'm scared that when this laptop crashes... How will I be able to sync stuff and use it on another new laptop?? Please help because I'm really stressing.

When you get a new computer just restore your backup to the new computer. The iTunes Library is normally saved on the hard drive in a specific folder such as the Music folder or in a separate iTunes folder. You restore the backup to that same folder on your new computer. If a folder does not exist then it will likely be created for you when you install iTunes on your new computer. Then restore your library into the proper folder replacing any newly created iTunes Library.

So basically I must follow those steps in the first post and go to that folder and move that whole iTunes Library folder onto my hard drive under any folder that I want to have it? I'm thinking of connecting it to a computer that already has iTunes and is sharing my account but it's mt brothers iPod. Our music is different. So would I follow the same steps? So basically what I do is take that iTunes folder that I saved on my hard drive and put it onto the same folder in the new computer and would automatiacally save all my stuff onto the new iTunes? Also would the pictures be there? I'm so sorry for all the questions. Just stressing!

You want to save the backup on a different hard drive such as an external drive. You cannot use the library on your brother's computer unless he creates a new user account for you. Then you could put it in your user account where it belongs to use it on his computer. But if you are getting a new computer I would just keep it on the external drive until you are ready to put it on your new computer.

Pictures are not part of the iTunes Library, at least not on a Mac. I'm not sure about Windows but I don't think they are saved in the iTunes Library on Windows. They would be somewhere else, but I don't know where. I don't use Windows very much.
