iPhone Touch Screen Problems Caused by 3rd Party Plug-in Adapters

I recently had problems with my iPhone 5 touch screen. It would not respond or was erraticly responding while charging. When I unplugged the phone from the charging cord, the problem stopped.

After searching several support discussions, I learned that using 3rd party (non-Apple) USB plug-in adapters cause this.

At the time I was having the problems, I was using a generic USB plug with my Apple charging cord. Once I swapped out the generic with my Apple-issued USB plug adapter, the problems ceased, even while charging.

Hope this helps.
