Still having problems scanning using SL Operating sys

GarlandM suggested I upgrade my printer software. Thanks-you very much, but it didn't seem to help. I'll try and give a better dscription of my problem;

From the Print & Scan Screen I click on Scan and get a screen to open scanner. That opens a page that allows me to scan a single page into a PDF. There are some limited adjustment details, but none, that I can find, that will allow me to scan multiple pages into one PDF.

Trying to work around the issue, I tried to drag and drop individually scanned pages into a single PDF, but I could not get them to combine?

If this is what Apple is doing to improve they didn't do so good with this one. The Hp software worked just fine on Lepard.

Any thoughts??
