FCP X 10.0.7 viewer scrambled

FCP X 10.0.7 viewer scrambled

I have trashed preferences and restarted the machine. I have uninstalled FCP X and then re-installed from App store. I have an iMac 2.8 ghz Intel core i5 well above spec for FCP X. The machine is currently running 10.6.8.

The viewer window is scrambled when playing with odd colors and pixelation. I have had this happen on occasion before, but if I restarted FCP X it would disappear.

This occurs when playing from events or project timelines.

iMac, Mac OS X (10.7), 2.8 ghz Intel core i5

Post a screen shot please.

Make sure System Preferences>Display is set to the default colors.

Display colors are set to 'imac'. I do have a second display, but it doesn't matter if it is displayed on the imac monitor or the second display - it is scambled either way.
