I am somewhat new to all things apple, my boss is not. He is frequently out of the country and has asked me to look into iChat and whether or not it would be free for him to talk to me through that while he is traveling.
Both our iPhones are based out of the US, would there be a cost for him to speak with me through iChat?

iChat is for Mac only. Are you talking about iMessage? If so, iMessage requires a data connection, either WiFi or 3G. So, if done over WiFi, it will be free.
we both have Macbooks also. like I said, new to apple so I wasn't even clear on which device he was talking about! so, using our Macs, would iChat work and be free of cost internationally?
