Hi, I tried to clean my Mac, because it was running too slow when I only have been on it for 20 mins. Once I cleaned it, everything was fine. I restart my Mac and an error pop up kept saying finder is not working. I am not able to open anything! Nothing will open, except for my clock and wi-fi. My dad is taking it in tomorrow to the genius bar. I have no warranty anymore since its done. Does anyone know how to fix or know how much it will cost to make it work?

what program did you use to "clean it" or how did you "clean" it if you did it on your own?
I didn't use a program. I went to cache and deleted that stuff. Then I went to disk quality and clicked on permission repair. Then I went to erase extra space.

Mac OS X tends to look after itself and does not require any 3rd Party Cleaning programs... In fact... these programs can cause Major problems...

How did you clean it? It's important to understand that Macs don't actually need any kind of cleaning. See:

I suspect that whatever you did deleted more than it should have, damaging your system. Do you have any backups? What version of Mac OS X are you running?
You must have delete more than just the contents of the Cache folder. Either that or your hard drive must be seriously corrupt.
You know what. I probably did... Also I just rememebered i bought my Mac in 2010 and the warranty is 3 years. Sorry guys!
